Nice interview, but I skipped over descriptions of the story. I only read reviews of academic books, never of novels. Why? I want to be surprised, intrigued, and involved with the story as it develops. If I knew that Frodo was destined to bear the ring before it happened, then part of the story would be diminished. So, no, I didn’t read the whole interview, but I will be first in the queue to buy the book in February, and my students will probably get new vacation reading. So far they have benefitted from both The Ghost ride and The Night Tiger (as have I) and I expect the latest novel will be equally as good, if not better.
